Message	hobby was to spend less money on the gear and more time behind the lens, much like tracking a car. I've seen some very capable local photographers shoot amazing photos with gear much older than mine, but you'd never know it comparing the results between the two. I've made a sport out of buying and selling on craigslist, and trading up without investing much additional cash. I've got a pretty recent Canon body and a bag full of lenses, all crippled by my amateur talents. But, sure beats the pictures I get from cell phones and point and shoots!
